Our first Annual General Meeting of John Cleveland College Community Woodheat Co-operative on 21st June 2014 attracted 23 shareholder members and provoked some incisive questions and interesting discussion, not to mention several good ideas for future management procedures.
Much of the questioning was directed towards the technical aspects of installation, operation and environmental issues, as well as the more expected financial aspects. The directors were happy to be quizzed and enable the greatest possible insight for members as to how the project is progressing.
It was pleasing to be able to report that the project is both on schedule and within budget, and that installation should be complete by the end of September.
It was also heart warming and a great vote of confidence to have several members say that is was the most interesting AGM they had been to. In this positive spirit, after a visit around the boiler house many stayed for a group photograph.
We will let you know when the commissioning will take place; probably in October.
