JCCCWC AGM

On Saturday the 24th of June JCCCWC held its Annual General Meeting at Hinckley Academy. Over 25 people attended, and the Board presented its Annual Report. This highlighted some of the challenges of 2016 as well as some of the successes. The Board reported that the Co-operative saved the school just under, an estimated £19,000 in their heating and maintenance costs for the year. It also reduced the school’s carbon footprint by 342 tonnes of CO2. After the presentation the Members agreed a further £1,732 contribution to the community benefit fund and the proposed 3.5% interest payment for 2016.

The AGM also elected Richard Cahill and David Halsey onto the JCCCWC Board. Richard is the Principal of Hinckley Academy, and David’s background is in the energy sector and he will bring extensive business experience and knowledge to the Board. Both Richard and David were warmly welcomed.
